Very excited to announce that my new play Everything is Burning and so Fucking Beautiful! - which is the 6th play of my 7-play cycle about war - has been named a semi-finalist for American Shakespeare Center’s New Contemporaries award.
Everything is Burning is in conversation with Shakespeare’s Henry V and follows an Iraqi family at the start of the American-led war in 2003.
I’ll be returning to Queens College on December 12 to participate in a roundtable of fellow artists who will all be discussing the different ways to foster a life as a writer outside of academia.
Excited to share a new, very personal project this month at Dixon Place. Earl: A Suicide chronicles my grandfather's suicide and my struggle to understand what happened and what it means to me.
The very talented Diego Aguirre has been kind enough to help me bring life to my words in this one-person show. The show will be an hour long and presented as a barebones workshop production in the Lounge.

My Southern Gothic two-hander The Sins is having a reading at The Flea this coming Tuesday, April 24 at 7pm. Excited to hear Bobby and Cherry speak aloud for a couple hours. The reading is free and open to the public.
